Four Goldberg Segalla Attorneys Listed in Metro/Westchester New York Super Lawyers October 2012

Four attorneys in the Garden City and White Plains offices of Goldberg Segalla have been listed in the Metro and Westchester editions of the 2012 New York Super Lawyers. Those recognized in Super Lawyers include:

Paul S. Devine, partner in the Garden City office, has over 30 years experience as a trial lawyer and has recorded more than 100 verdicts in state and federal courts. He represented the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing Cases. Paul appears frequently in the Appellate Divisions of New York's First and Second Judicial Departments, successfully arguing appeals in those courts. He is the past Chairman of the Trial Lawyers' Section of the Nassau County and Suffolk County Bar Associations and is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI);

Brian W. McElhenny, partner in the Garden City office, has 30 years of experience defending clients in the Courts on Long Island and in the New York City area in municipal liability, labor law construction, product liability and premises cases. Brian has tried more than 80 cases to jury verdict and argued 75 appeals before the Appellate Division, Second Department in New York State. He has argued five cases before the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Brian is a member of the Municipal Liability and Trial Lawyers Sections of the New York State Bar Association and a member of the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association;

Michael D. Shalhoub, partner in the White Plains office, is a trial lawyer who has resolved more than 100 cases at the trial stage, including a number of verdicts in products liability, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, coverage, construction accident, and general liability matters. Michael is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Defense Research Institute (DRI); a past Chair of DRI's Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee; and a past Chair of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel's Drug, Medical Device and Biotechnology Section;

Brian T. Stapleton, partner in the White Plains office, focuses his practice on the defense of large-exposure products liability, labor law, wrongful death and other liability claims across the country. Brian engages in a significant amount of Second Amendment litigation, at both the trial and appellate levels, in New York and across the country. He also engages in extensive appellate advocacy in the courts of New York and the federal judiciary. As a highly experienced trial attorney, Brian has obtained verdicts in over 100 cases and has tried numerous civil cases involving wrongful death, design and manufacturing defects, medical malpractice, and bankruptcy fraud. He has won high-profile criminal cases of murder and kidnapping, and has successfully defended complex multi-defendant RICO cases in the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of New York and Connecticut.
