Jeffrey L. Kingsley is a Business First 40 Under 40 Honoree August 2, 2013
Goldberg Segalla is pleased to announce that Jeffrey L. Kingsley, a partner in the firm’s Global Insurance Services and Environmental Practice Groups and leader of its reinsurance practice, is one of Business First’s 2013 40 Under 40 honorees. The annual awards honor rising local leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to bettering the community.
Mr. Kingsley received the honor in recognition of his professional achievements as well as his active service in Western New York. He is the founder and current Chairperson of the Historic Williamsville Watermill Restoration Committee (since 2007) and has served as a Trustee for the Village of Williamsville. He recently served as a volunteer for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and has also served as a mentor and coach for the Bennett High School Law Magnet Program and as Treasurer for the SUNY Buffalo Law School Alumni Association G.O.L.D. Group.
As leader of Goldberg Segalla’s reinsurance practice, Mr. Kingsley helped lead the firm to a “Highly Commended” ranking in the “U.S.–Overall Leaders” category in the 2013 Legal Elite, an annual survey conducted by the international publication Intelligent Insurer, and to a No. 6 rank on Reinsurance magazine’s Power List in 2010. Mr. Kingsley is a founder and editor of Goldberg Segalla’s Insurance and Reinsurance Report blog (www.insurerereport.com), which LexisNexis named one of the top 50 insurance blogs in the world, and he is the founder and co-editor of Goldberg Segalla’s Reinsurance Review.
Mr. Kingsley and his fellow honorees will be acknowledged at the 22nd annual 40 Under 40 awards luncheon on November 7 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. In addition to the luncheon — last year’s drew more than 800 attendees — the class of 2013 will be featured in a special supplement of Business First.
“Once again our 40 Under 40 honorees exemplify all that is good with our community,” said Jack Connors, Business First publisher and president. “Their dedication to their professions and to our community will ensure that the future of the Buffalo Niagara region remains bright and promising for generations to come.”
