Richard C. Brister
Richard C. Brister, Special Counsel to the firm in its Rochester, New York office, received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 1996. While in law school, Mr. Brister served as the Managing Editor for the school's International Trade Law Journal, Currents, and was an officer with Phi Alpha Delta. He authored and published Changing of the Guard: A Case For Privatization of Texas Prisons, The Prison Journal, September, 1996. Mr. Brister was formerly a partner with a Houston, Texas firm that specializes in insurance defense litigation, construction defect cases, and catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases for the nation's largest retailer. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute ("DRI") and concentrates his practice on worksite injury, premises liability, products liability, and construction defects.
