Jonathan P. Ciottone
Jonathan P. Ciottone is Special Counsel in the firm’s Hartford, Connecticut office and concentrates his practice in the areas of products liability, construction law, premises liability and toxic tort. In addition, his practice includes a wide range of complex litigation matters including construction defects, design and manufacturing defects and breach of warranty. Mr. Ciottone has over 10 years experience as a trial lawyer with considerable jury trial experience, as well as alternative dispute resolution experience.
Mr. Ciottone’s products liability experience includes the representation of product manufacturers, designers and sellers in the following areas: amusement park rides, asbestos, athletic equipment, automobiles, beauty, cosmetic and hair products, campers and camping equipment, chemicals, chairs, cranes, dental drills, die press machines, electrical equipment, elevators and escalators, exercise equipment, fire detection/suppression equipment, food, furnaces and heaters, garage doors, golf carts and equipment, industrial equipment, lead paint, medical, oil drums, propane, roofing, scaffolding and septic systems.
During law school Mr. Ciottone was President of the Mock Trial Honor Society and successfully competed in the ATLA Products Liability National Mock Trial Competition, winning the North East Regional competition and advancing to the national finals. Mr. Ciottone also served as the student appointee to the Faculty Academic Curriculum Board and was recipient of the 1999 Dean's Award, the Arnold J. Bai Litigation Award and the Sayegh-Oberst Mock Trial Award.
Mr. Ciottone is a frequent guest lecturer at the Quinnipiac University School of Law and a contributing editor of the medical text book “Disaster Medicine.”
