Matthew J. McDermott

Matthew J. McDermott concentrates his practice in the areas of products liability, construction worksite accidents, and catastrophic personal injury litigation. He has defended numerous product manufacturers in actions involving production equipment, medical devices, and household appliances. He has substantial courtroom experience in the venues of metropolitan New York, and has taken jury verdicts in Brooklyn and the Bronx, as well as New York and Westchester Counties. Mr. McDermott is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, and earned his law degree from Western New England College School of Law. In law school, he served on the Western New England Law Review for two years and held the position of Senior Note Editor. Mr. McDermott is admitted to practice in the States of New York and Connecticut, and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
