Practice Groups

Ashley Grater focuses her practice on construction and commercial litigation. She defends clients in a variety of industries including general contractors, subcontractors, and property owners in a wide range of claims including the New York State Labor Law. Ashley represents institutional clients in construction matters and is well versed in the complex issues of indemnification. Her broad legal background also includes litigation relating to personal injuries and a vast array of general liability claims.

Ashley’s background includes serving as Assistant Law Clerk to the Hon. Francesca E. Connolly, Westchester County Supreme Court, where she researched and analyzed legal issues raised in complex civil dispositive motions, drafted decisions and orders, and assisted the court with civil trial matters. 

In addition, Ashley performed an internship with the Hon. Judith McMahon, Richmond County Supreme Court. She also interned at the Pace Law Criminal Justice Clinic’s Post-Conviction Project, where she reviewed inmates’ letters and referrals, engaged in fact investigation, conducted prison interviews, and executed legal research and analysis. 

While receiving her juris doctor from Pace Law School, Ashley contributed to the Pace Law Review and was the recipient of the Columbian Lawyers of Westchester Scholarship, the Columbian Lawyers First Department Scholarship, and the Judge Richard J. Daronco Scholarship.
