Practice Groups

Damon Gruber has developed a highly focused concentration in the defense of Workers' Compensation claims and currently serves as chair of the Practice Group. His Workers' Compensation experience includes all aspects of the process: claims handling recommendations, assessment of claims and development of defenses, lay and expert testimony, the ever-important Board hearing process and the decisional law upon which the Board relies. He has extensive appellate experience in cases involving sports law, hearing loss, psychological stress and insurance coverage issues. Damon received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the State College of New York at Buffalo in Political Science. He graduated from the State University at Buffalo School of Law with a concentration in Regulatory Law and a specialization in Health Care Law. Damon is a member of the Defense Research Institute ("DRI"), and the New York State Bar and Bar Association of Erie County.
