Frank Ciano is a partner in the firm's White Plains office. His educational background, professional experience, skills and experience in international litigation combine to give Frank a distinct perspective that enhances his service to clients.

Clients with operations around the world benefit from Frank's ability to leverage his technical knowledge and international law experience in pursuit of the most favorable results. He concentrates his practice on the representation of international corporations and insurance carriers in products liability, commercial, corporate, regulatory and intellectual property litigation. He is also a registered patent attorney.

Due to the risks and expenses presented to a company as a result of a lawsuit, Frank’s practice is now focused on assisting his clients in avoiding the risk of litigation and, in particular, minimizing their exposure to products liability claims and commercial litigation. Less litigation translates directly into tremendous cost savings to a company.

In this endeavor, Frank assists his clients in preparing owners manuals, warnings, instructions, websites and warranties so they can more effectively convey safety information to their customers. In addition, he assists clients in the preparation of commercial agreements and contracts and in planning all other aspects of their businesses to minimize their exposure to a commercial dispute.

Frank also assists international corporations to comply with the various requirements of the European Union Product Liability and Safety Directives, China's Product Quarterly Law and Compulsory Certification Mark. In order to better serve his clients, Frank works with a network of product liability attorneys in Europe, Asia and South America. Fluent in Italian, Frank has presented to numerous corporate organizations throughout Europe and Asia, including conferences in cities such as Milan and Torino, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; and Beijing and Shanghai, China.

In each step of his education and career, Frank has shaped a way of thinking that emphasizes the importance of detail, precision and steadfast preparation. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, cum laude, with a minor in computer science, from Manhattan College in 1986. Upon graduation, he worked as an aerospace engineer, designing wing and fuselage structures for air and spacecraft. He then attended Hofstra University School of Law, where he earned his juris doctorate, with distinction, in 1990.
