Jared S. Berkowitz

Associate/Legal Historian

Practice Groups

Jared Berkowitz focuses his work on insurance and premium fraud, general defense, and legal history. He manages high-volume discovery projects; conducts research on first-party claims, bad faith, and insurance fraud; and drafts court documents for complex civil litigation matters.

Jared has done extensive research on the complexities of government regulation in regard to corporate constitutional rights — focusing on how far regulations can extend before infringing on the rights of both private and public corporations. He combines his deep knowledge of historical process and corporate civil rights with his defense-focused legal background to bring a unique perspective to pretrial preparation.

As a student at Rutgers School of Law, Jared served as Notes Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy,  as well as a Street Law Instructor to high school students. Upon graduating law school, Jared went on to earn his M.A. in history from Rutgers University, where he focused on political economy and legal theory research.
