Jesse Rutter is an associate in the firm’s Long Island office. Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Jesse spent three and a half years as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, New York. As a member of the District Attorney’s Narcotics Investigations Bureau, Jesse tried felony narcotics cases to verdict before a jury, presented over 150 cases to the grand jury, and served as the lead prosecutor on dozens of long-term undercover and wiretap narcotics and firearms trafficking investigations. He also prosecuted a wide array of misdemeanors, including violations of the New York Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Jesse’s civil litigation experience includes depositions, hearings, and successful summary judgment motions and appellate arguments. He focuses his practice on municipal and government liability as well as appellate, construction, workers' compensation, and transportation litigation. Jesse has handled dozens of auto and trucking cases since joining Goldberg Segalla.

While in law school, Jesse served on the executive board of the St. John’s Moot Court Honor Society. He was a member of the St. John’s team for the National Moot Court Competition.
