Practice Groups
Joseph Mooney concentrates his practice in the areas of products liability and catastrophic personal injury litigation. He has defended numerous product manufacturers in actions involving industrial equipment, cranes, power tools, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and household products.
A member of the firm's Product Liability Litigation Practice Group, Joe is a frequent author and lecturer on products liability, product licensing, the admissibility of expert testimony and other litigation issues. He has shared his expertise as a presenter to numerous organizations, from the Defense Research Institute, to the Risk Management Counsel of Canada and the New York State Bar Association.
A cum laude graduate of Hamilton College and of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, Joe was named to the New York Super Lawyers [products liability defense] and is featured in em>Business First's Who's Who in Law [civil litigation]. He is admitted to practice before all state courts in New York, the Second Circuit of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of New York. Joe is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County, New York State and American Bar Associations, as well as the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
