William Kelly co-chairs Goldberg Segalla's General Liability practice group. This is the largest practice group at the firm and includes attorneys from all of our offices.

Over the last 30 years, Bill has obtained verdicts in every downstate county including all of the Boroughs of the City of New York. His cases have included products liability actions from snow blowers to stump cutters, as well as defending the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in several damage trials in 2009 involving the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

During his career, Bill has argued appeals and prevailed in two of the country's most respected appellate venues: the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the New York Court of Appeals. Bill also lectures for the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and has been selected to act as a member of the faculty for the Judicial Institute, providing trial guidance for newly elected Supreme Court judges.

Early in his career, Bill served as Managing Attorney in New York City for Transamerica Insurance Company and Royal Sun-Alliance.
