William J. Edwins Joins Goldberg Segalla

February 4, 2015

Goldberg Segalla is pleased to announce William J. Edwins has joined the firm as Special Counsel in its Garden City office. He is a member of the firm’s Global Insurance Services Practice Group. Bill previously worked for several multi-national law firms before joining Goldberg Segalla earlier this month.

With a focus on complex insurance coverage analysis and dispute resolution, Bill represents national and international insurance companies as well as Lloyd’s of London brokers and syndicates. He has a proven track record – from initial claim through trial in state and federal courts – of obtaining successful results for clients, who seek his advice on a broad range of matters, including general liability, professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, commercial auto and motor cargo claims, marine claims, and property damage. He has also handled matters involving complex issues related to technology, abuse and molestation, ransom and kidnapping, pharmaceuticals, high-end collector car claims, and excess and umbrella coverage.

While pursuing his law degree at New York Law School, Bill clerked at the New York Stock Exchange’s Office of the General Counsel, where he acted as a liaison between the office and the SEC, Federal Reserve, and other federal agencies. During his undergraduate studies at Long Island University/C.W. Post College, he served as an assistant law clerk for Judge Joanna Seybert in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and as a legislative intern for the New York State Assembly.
