Landmark Decision Before the Court of Appeals

Matthew C. Van Vessem argued before the Court of Appeals to protect the statutory rights of a Commissioner of Police to select among officers eligible for promotion.  This landmark decision of the Court of Appeals ended a five-year dispute between the city and its police union.
