Brian T. Stapleton, leader of Goldberg Segalla’s Second Amendment litigation and gun-related issues practice, was profiled by the Connecticut Law Tribune for his work representing the plaintiffs in the constitutional challenge to Connecticut’s Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Children’s Safety.
The article explores Brian’s career, from his start two decades ago as a public defender in the Bronx and early work on constitutional law issues to his practice at Goldberg Segalla, which includes high-exposure product liability cases in addition to Second Amendment litigation.
“I have developed a niche role, where I am now regularly asked to advise individuals and groups on a wide range of issues involving gun ownership and possession of firearms,” said Brian, whose clients include the National Rifle Association. The article notes his work in this area ranges from advising clients trying to get a permit to carry a firearm to helping gun clubs and shooting ranges to navigate hurdles created by environmental or municipal regulations.
