Goldberg Segalla Accelerates Growth in Hartford With New Additions, Partner Promotion January 26, 2015
Goldberg Segalla is pleased to announce the law firm has added four attorneys to its Hartford office — partner Dove A. E. Burns and associates Timothy M. Gondek, Michael F. Lettiero, and Michael D. Schweitzer. In addition, it has elected Angeline N. Ioannou, formerly special counsel, to the firm’s partnership.
These additions highlight the dynamic growth the firm is experiencing across its 12-office footprint and strengthen several of its core practices that serve clients in Connecticut. These teams include the firm’s Professional Liability, Global Insurance Services, Workers’ Compensation, and General Liability Practice Groups.
Dove A. E. Burns, who practices from both the Hartford and New York offices, brings nationally recognized experience in employment practices liability (EPL) and professional liability litigation. She defends and counsels a wide range of professionals, corporations and executives, multibillion-dollar international restaurant chains, hospitals, and other clients in high-exposure professional negligence and employment law matters. Dove is a prominent member of the national Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), where she serves as a member of the Hartford Chapter’s Steering Committee and Co-Chair of its Educational Committee. She is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.
Angeline N. Ioannou, recently promoted to partner, focuses her practice on health care litigation, as well as general liability, professional liability, and product liability work. She has significant experience defending professional malpractice claims on behalf of nursing homes. She also writes and lectures on long-term care issues, is co-editor of publications for the Defense Research Institute’s Medical Liability and Health Law Committee, and is the Program Vice Chair for DRI’s 2015 Long-Term Care Seminar.
Angie’s 15 years of trial and appellate experience also includes representing insurance carriers, product manufacturers, and global retail and restaurant chains in a broad range of civil litigation involving contract disputes, general tort matters, indemnification issues, product liability claims, and wrongful death under Connecticut’s Dram Shop Act.
Timothy M. Gondek focuses his practice on defending professionals against claims of malpractice and negligence. His experience includes representing health care professionals, accountants, public adjusters, and attorneys. He is also experienced in litigating product liability, trucking and shipping, premises liability, and other personal injury actions.
Timothy received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
Michael F. Lettiero is an insurance coverage and general liability defense litigator who has represented clients in state and federal courts across the country. He also has extensive experience defending clients in actions involving personal injury, product liability, subrogation, and trucking accidents.
Michael received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a B.A., cum laude, from Villanova University.
