Goldberg Segalla LLP is pleased to welcome Robert E. Gallagher Jr., Kathleen J. Martin and Philip H. McIntyre to the law firm’s Buffalo office.

Robert E. Gallagher Jr., special counsel in the Business and Commercial Practice Group and Product Liability Practice Group, has extensive trial experience. He has taken more than 30 trials to verdict, including cases brought under New York’s Labor Law, product liability, motor vehicle and premises liability areas. Mr. Gallagher also has a vast amount of first- and third-party benefit disputes experience, Special Investigation (Fraud) Unit litigation, loss transfer, SUM and UM insurance litigation, and all aspects of appellate practice. He received a J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law and a B.A. from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.

Kathleen J. Martin, special counsel in the General Litigation Practice Group, has more than 11 years of experience in matters involving personal injury, municipal liability, labor law, medical malpractice, products liability, insurance law and wrongful death. Ms. Martin has successfully briefed and argued several appeals involving complex issues of negligence and damages before the Appellate Division, Fourth Department.  She is well-versed and experienced in the post-judgment present value application of Article 50-A and 50-B of the New York CPLR and routinely and successfully handles cases with catastrophic injuries and complex negligence. Ms. Martin received her J.D., cum laude, from the University at Buffalo Law School, State University of New York, and a B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Philip H. McIntyre, special counsel in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, has advised management-side labor and employment clients in both the private and public sectors, including manufacturing companies, health care organizations, insurance companies, colleges, temporary staffing companies, not-for-profit organizations, municipalities and public authorities. His client representations have involved numerous kinds of adversarial claims including discrimination, harassment, wage/hour issues, statutory and constitutional employee rights, wrongful discharge and related torts such as defamation, and duty of fair representation and other labor law claims.  He received a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University at Buffalo Law School, State University of New York, and a B.A. from Canisius College.
