Practice Groups

Brittany Morgan-Glenn is an associate in the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, with a focus on defending Illinois-based employers, insurers, and third-party administrators.

Brittany has experience assisting in all areas of workers’ compensation defense, including legal analysis, researching case law, preparing circuit and appellate court briefs, facilitating independent medical evaluations, and preparing claim summaries. As a judicial extern for the Hon. Bridget Mitchell in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division, Brittany organized and reviewed motion packets, attended court calls, and observed jury trials, where she gained valuable experience hearing the testimony and cross-examinations of expert and “hostile” witnesses.

Brittany is an active community member wherever she goes: Illinois Wesleyan University recognized her commitments with their Civic Engagement Award, and at The John Marshall Law School she served as Public Relations Chair of the Women’s Law Caucus and Vice Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity Lincoln Chapter. She also sat on the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council at the 2015 American Bar Association Labor Law Trial Competition, and won an award for Best Cross Examination at the John Marshall Law School Interscholastic 1L Mock Trial Competition. In her final year at John Marshall, she was a student intern at the school’s Pro Bono Clinic, in its Name and Gender Marker Project. Brittany assisted with name and gender marker changes on Illinois passports, driver’s licenses, birth certificates, and other legal documents, and accompanied clients to hearings to obtain court-ordered name and gender marker changes. Brittany was featured in the January 2017 issue of the ABA Journal in an article titled “Naming Rights” by Julianne Hill, highlighting her involvement in the Name and Gender Marker Project.
