Goldberg Segalla partner Danielle N. Malaty has been appointed chair of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section Self-Insurers and Risk Managers Committee.

“I am honored to be appointed as chair of this important committee,” Danielle said. “SIRM offers its members opportunities to network, publish and speak on relevant legal issues, and learn from others’ experiences in the areas of risk management and self-insurance.”

Prior to her appointment to chair, Danielle served as a dedicated vice chair of the SIRM Committee for six years. As she steps into her new role as chair of the SIRM Committee, she will continue to serve as a leader to many attorneys, risk management professionals, and self-insurers.

Along with the newly appointed TIPS committee chairs, Danielle will also serve on the TIPS Standing Committee, where she will act as a liaison to the numerous committees within TIPS.

Danielle’s role will involve planning, organizing, coordinating, and leadership related to events, networking, substantive committee meetings and programs, and general administration of the TIPS community at large. She will also assist and participate in the TIPS Fall Meeting, from October 12-14, at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, Nassau, Bahamas, and at the TIPS Section Conference from May 1-4, 2024, at the Loews Hollywood in Hollywood, California.
