Goldberg Segalla partners David Y. Choi, Debra L. Doby, and Adam R. Dolan are recognized in the National Law Journal’s 2019 Cannabis Law “Trailblazers,” an annual listing of a handful of attorneys across the nation who are “truly agents of change.”
Deb and Adam, both partners based in Goldberg Segalla’s New York City and White Plains offices, founded and co-chair the firm’s Cannabis Law practice. With a background in workers’ compensation litigation as well as intellectual property law, Deb began litigating cannabis-related matters on behalf of major employers and insurers after New York and New Jersey passed “compassionate care” acts in 2012. Adam began to move into cannabis law while practicing with Goldberg Segalla’s Life Sciences group, litigating medical device and pharmacological matters.
Based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, David helps to lead the Cannabis practice on the west coast. As a member of the firm’s Corporate Services and Commercial Litigation practice, David counsels and litigates on behalf of cannabis business operators, handling everything from licensing and leasing to multimillion-dollar disputes.
Multidisciplinary by design, Goldberg Segalla’s Cannabis Law practices serves the full spectrum of clients participating in and affected by the rapidly evolving cannabis industry, from employers and insurers to manufacturers and retailers, from coast to coast.
