Goldberg Segalla added partner Angela A. Cronk to the firm’s Employment and Labor group in Philadelphia.

“I am truly looking forward to being a part of Goldberg Segalla,” Angela said. “Their firm values and interests are in alignment with my own, especially their team mentality, and my prior experience fits perfectly into my new role. I am also excited to grow my employment practice and litigation skills through their well respected and highly sought after group.”

Angela is a highly experienced civil litigator with more than 20 years of experience handling complex employment and labor matters. She defends employers, health care facilities, and other professionals against claims including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour matters in state, federal, arbitration, administrative, and appellate venues. Angela provides preventive and risk management counsel on hiring practices, terminations, workplace investigations, and crafting employee policies. She also regularly defends against various claims made under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Cronk has significant experience in commercial and business litigation for clients across many business lines, including banking and financial services, insurance, health care, and real estate and land use. She draws on a background handling advocacy, legal analysis, and strategy for mass tort Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) matters for major railroads. In this role, she acted as national counsel, supervised over 250 occupational injury cases, and prepared appellate briefs to the Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania.

“Angela brings a tremendous amount of litigation and counseling experience for clients across a multitude of industries, including health care entities,” said Caroline J. Berdzik, a member of the firm’s Management Committee and chair of its Employment and Labor group. “Her addition will bolster our thriving national employment and labor practice, particularly in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.”

“Angela has wide-ranging experience, a notable depth of expertise in employment law and litigation, and a true commitment to the profession,” said Jonathan S. Ziss, a leader in the Philadelphia office and chair of the firm’s Management and Professional Liability group. “Angela’s practice perfectly complements our Philadelphia office. We are delighted to have her join us. The demand for employment and labor counseling and representation is surging. Angela’s skill set and leadership will have an immediate impact.”

Angela is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association. She also volunteers as a Guardian Ad Litem for the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP), where she represents children who are victims of abuse and neglect.

Angela earned her bachelor’s degree from Hollins University and her juris doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law. During law school, Cronk interned for the Hon. Lawrence W. Kaplan of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas in the Family Division.
