Anthony defends a wide variety of businesses and professionals in general liability, construction, premises liability, professional liability, medical malpractice, and legal malpractice litigation in state and federal courts throughout New York. He has successfully defended general contractors, construction managers, owners, property management companies, municipalities, and major national businesses, including restaurant franchises, pharmacies, and high-end retail brands, in a wide variety of general liability, construction, and premises liability litigation. In addition, Anthony has significant experience in defending professionals, including architects and engineers, lawyers, and health care professionals, as well as specialty hospitals and health care facilities. He has assisted with and managed the defense of doctors and hospitals in medical malpractice matters, drawing on a bachelor’s degree in Biology (with a concentration in Neuroscience) and a master’s in Teaching Biology to craft defenses rooted in sound science and to translate sophisticated medical and technical concepts to courts and juries. His experience also includes the defense of a complex matter involving freedom of speech and defamation claims against an attorney and a school board.
After receiving dual bachelor’s degrees (including a second degree in Italian Language, Literature, and Culture) and his master’s degree from Stony Brook University, Anthony earned additional experience as a graduate intern with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. He went on to Hofstra University School of Law, and returned to the Kings County District Attorney’s Office as a legal intern. While in law school, Anthony was an editor of the Family Court Review Law Journal and a frequent Appellate Advocacy competitor for the Moot Court Board Association, appearing as a finalist in the 2015 Nassau County Elaine Jackson Stack Competition.
