Goldberg Segalla LLP is pleased to announce Brendan T. Fitzpatrick has joined the law firm as a partner in its Garden City office.
Mr. Fitzpatrick concentrates his practice in all aspects of appellate litigation. In his years of experience, he has briefed and argued appeals in every appellate court in New York, including the New York State Court of Appeals and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. These appeals have covered a diverse range of issues, including constitutional law, contracts, insurance coverage, products liability, and negligence.
As a member of the Committee on the Development of the Law for the Defense Association of New York, he contributed to the preparation of amicus briefs to the New York State Court of Appeals on significant cases that impact the defense bar throughout the state. He is also a member of the Appellate and Ethics Committees of the Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Fitzpatrick is admitted to practice in New York State courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
He received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame (1992) and his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame School of Law (1995).
Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Mr. Fitzpatrick led the appellate practice at Ahmuty, Demers & McManus in Albertson, New York.
