Chimdi represents and defends a wide variety of insureds, employers, and third-party administrators in premises liability, personal injury, and product liability matters throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. As a litigator and trial attorney, she draws on deep prosecutorial and courtroom experience earned as an assistant district attorney, first as a city prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Court of Common Pleas Trial Unit, and then as a felony prosecutor in the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Bureau. In her role as felony prosecutor she regularly managed felony investigations and discovery, and handled a caseload of 100 felony cases, personally taking over 150 bench trials and six jury trials to verdict.
Chimdi earned a dual bachelor’s in English and Dance at Columbia University and went on to attend Temple University Beasley School of Law. At Temple, she was a three-year recipient of the Russell Conwell academic scholarship, served as the Temple Student Bar Association treasurer, and served on the faculty hiring committee. She received the Albert M. Cohen Memorial Graduation Award for outstanding service to the law school. She gained additional experience as a legal intern in the King’s County District Attorney’s Office, the Chester County District Attorney’s office (her home county), and was a summer law clerk for the Hon. Paul S. Diamond in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
