Goldberg Segalla added associate Christopher F. Lyon to the law firm’s Management and Professional Liability Practice Group in New York City.
Christopher focuses his practice on counseling and defending insurance agents and brokers, accountants, architects, lawyers, and other professionals in a variety of professional liability claims. He represents clients in all stages of the claims-handling process, from inception through trial and appeal, including arbitration and mediation. He defends clients before state and federal courts across New York and New Jersey, including the New York Supreme Court. Christopher received his bachelor’s in Business Administration with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, where he served as senior articles editor for the Boston University International Law Journal, as swing speaker in the Sutherland Cup Moot Court Team, as a student coach of the ABA Arbitration Competition Team, and as a student attorney in the school’s Civil Litigation Clinic. As a law student, Christopher served as an intern for the Honorable Xavier Rodriguez in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, as a law clerk to the Honorable Judd J. Carhart in the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and as an intern for the Honorable Bruce E. Scheckowitz in the Kings County Housing Court.
