Goldberg Segalla added Mitchell J. Kim to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation group in Orange County.

A Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law, Mitchell has focused his practice on counseling and defending employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board venues throughout Southern California. He has managed the defense for hundreds of workers’ compensation claims from discovery to completion, attending hearings, conducting applicant and physician depositions, completing trials, and resolving claims via settlement through stipulated awards as well as compromise and release agreements. A thought leader on the subject, Mitchell has lectured on a range of workers’ compensation topics, including supplemental job displacement benefits, utilization review, medical treatment, California SB 863, resolution of liens, apportionment, permanent disability, and death claims.

Mitchell earned his B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.
