With nearly 3,000 members, the YLD is the largest division of the Philadelphia Bar Association, which was founded in 1802 and is the oldest metropolitan bar association in the country. The YLD is active both in the law community and the community of Philadelphia hosting a variety of programs focused on public service, education, and service to the legal community. Its mission is to support the interests of young lawyers, advance the quality of the legal system, and provide a forum to exchange ideas.
“As chair, I hope to carry on the YLD’s strong tradition of community engagement,” Hillary said. “With 2020 marking the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and the upcoming presidential election, the YLD will engage in several voter registration and participation initiatives. In addition, the YLD will continue to host our monthly professional development events, CLEs, and pro bono activities.”
