James M. Paulino II Quoted in "Voters Say 'No' to Constitutional Convention," Wayne Post/WHEC

November 8, 2017

On Tuesday, November 7, 2017, New York State voters decided overwhelmingly against holding a convention to amend the state’s constitution. “I don’t think anyone is really surprised it’s been voted down,” Goldberg Segalla’s James M. Paulino II told reporters for Wayne Post/WHEC. “In theory, it’s a great idea. In practice, people don’t want to turn that power over, so I don’t think anyone is particularly surprised. And just as with the other conventions that did not pass, the legislature still has the ability to propose amendments on the ballot.”
