Miami-based partner Kimberly A. Cook, a member of the firm’s General Liability and Heath Care groups, was honored with the 2020 Women Making History Award by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Miami-Dade Chapter.
The Women Making History Award is awarded annually during Women’s History Month to an individual who exemplifies the ideals of professional achievement, perseverance, and dedication to women’s issues. Kim was presented the award at the Women Making History Award and Scholarship reception on March 12.
Kimberly A. Cook is an accomplished trial lawyer with deep experience in specialty and catastrophic torts, who has taken more than 30 cases to verdict in Florida and around the country. With a practice covering product liability, professional liability, catastrophic injury, and other types of complex litigation, Kim has defended and served as trial counsel for medical professionals, health care facilities, manufacturers, and others. Kim is an active member and leader in numerous legal organizations, including the invitation-only American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates. She is also a Florida Supreme Court-certified mediator.
