Samantha Catone, an associate in the firm’s Construction and General Liability practice groups, was quoted in an article for EHS Today discussing OSHA’s new safety law compliance.
In “OSHA Embraces Leading Indicators,” Samantha talks about OSHA’s move away from relying on past employer’s safety data to focus its efforts on leading indicators.
“These lagging indicators have been denounced by safety and health professionals as reactive, and an ineffective means of measuring the effectiveness of an employer’s safety and health program. OSHA has finally agreed,” says Samantha. “As a result of this shift, employers must become well-versed in leading indicators and how to utilize them.”
