Sarah M. Washington Selected for the 2019 Honorable Judith Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship

November 13, 2019

Sarah M. Washington, an associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Arbitration and General Liability practices, has been selected for the 2019 Honorable Judith Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship established by the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).

The scholarship is awarded to up to five female litigators to help increase the number of women prepared to serve as first chair in large commercial cases and covers the cost of their registration for either the 2019 session of the Commercial Litigation Academy or the next session in 2021. Each “Kaye Scholar” will be presented with her award on November 13, 2019, at the Southern District of New York, in conjunction with the presentation of the Shira A. Scheindlin Award for Excellence in the Courtroom to female litigators who have had a distinguished career in the courtroom in either state or federal courts and who have shown a commitment to mentoring young attorneys. The Kaye Scholars are also invited to attend the section’s annual meeting and gala luncheon on January 2020 in New York City.
