Goldberg Segalla is pleased to announce that Shannon T. O’Connor has joined the firm as an associate in its General Liability, Municipal and Governmental Liability, and Constitutional Law Practice Groups in Syracuse. An experienced trial and appellate lawyer, Shannon has taken nearly 10 trials to verdict in the Northern District of New York, and has submitted several briefs to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Shannon’s experience includes serving for several years as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Syracuse, where she defended the city and its officials in a wide variety of litigation — including highly sensitive constitutional and civil rights issues — and in administrative proceedings before a range of state agencies. She also advised the City of Syracuse Police Department on its policies and procedures and defended it to successful verdict at trial.
Shannon was a law clerk in the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office during law school at Syracuse University College of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 2010.
