Brendan B. Gilmartin

Brendan B. Gilmartin is an experienced commercial litigator who regularly represents public corporations, real estate entities, investment advisory firms, and insurance brokerages in lawsuits pertaining to claims of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, malpractice, Section 10(b) securities fraud, defamation, and violations of the Copyright Act and Lanham Act. He counsels corporate clients in complex business disputes in federal court, state court, and private arbitrations before the AAA, JAMS, and FINRA.
Brendan has spearheaded litigation strategy through the composition of dispositive motions, motions in limine, and appellate briefs. He has extensive experience conducting depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. His background includes successfully mediating multimillion-dollar breach-of-contract suits and obtaining dismissal and contractual indemnity on summary judgment.
During law school, Brendan was a judicial intern in the commercial division of the New York County Supreme Court for the Hon. Charles E. Ramos.
