David L. Merlino
Associate
David L. Merlino concentrates his practice on counseling and defending clients in a variety of civil litigation matters. His experience includes litigating complex construction defect, product defect, and property damage matters, including those involving building collapses, excavation support failures, fires, floods, and other casualties. In addition, David has handled insurance coverage and commercial claims.
As an intern during law school, David gained experience assisting attorneys with applications related to software, medical, and electrical patents, conducting research, preparing copyright and trademark applications, and drafting responses to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office inquiries. Further, he gained experience as an extern in medical malpractice. David also held internships with the Bankruptcy Clinic of the Touro Law Center and with the Veterans’ and Servicemembers’ Rights Clinic of the Touro Law Center.
