Eric D. Statman is an accomplished attorney with more than 20 years of experience litigating complex, precedent-setting cases for domestic and international corporations. He regularly assumes substantial responsibility for a variety of litigation matters, claims, and disputes, including complex commercial and product liability litigation and mass tort defense, and environmental litigation. Eric has represented asbestos defendants as national and local counsel, and developed new strategies to minimize exposure for numerous asbestos defendants, including Fortune 500 organizations. Based on his clients’ desired outcomes, he has also engaged in and driven early evaluation and resolution of claims.
With a diverse legal background, Eric has managed a full spectrum of legal, risk, and compliance services in support of corporate clients, including multiple complex cases involving bankruptcy, breach of contract, fraud, and product liability. He has resolved major disputes with minimum impact to corporations through mediation or litigation, and negotiated thousands of settlements, including numerous group settlements.
