Jeremy S. Cole counsels clients in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, handling all aspects of employment and complex commercial litigation matters. His practice includes navigating complex business disputes and resolving employment-related matters, including defending actions and claims by employees concerning misappropriation of trade secrets, restrictive covenants, employment discrimination, and wage-and-hour issues. He also negotiates and drafts pre-employment agreements, separation agreements, restrictive covenants, and employee handbooks and policies.

  • Negotiated a favorable resolution of complex severance negotiations involving severance, a restrictive covenant, and an equity buyout
  • Successfully defended clients facing single-plaintiff and class-action claims of employment discrimination, employment misclassification, and violations of wage-and-hour laws
  • Obtained favorable resolution of litigation concerning an attempted misappropriation of trade secrets filed on behalf of client against former employee
  • Investigated complaints of workplace disputes, counseled clients on legal risks and exposure, and negotiated resolution of complaints
  • Obtained dismissal of a complaint that sought millions of dollars from executives of a casino involving allegations of fraud and related torts on standing and ripeness grounds
  • Obtained dismissal at trial and appellate levels of litigation on personal jurisdiction grounds, which resulted in a published New Jersey Appellate Division opinion that advanced New Jersey’s jurisprudence concerning personal jurisdiction over internet sellers (Jardim v. Overly, 461 N.J. Super. 367 (App. Div. 2019))
  • Secured FINRA arbitration award expunging an unwanted occurrence from a client’s broker check report
