Experience
Leena Moten employs extensive litigation experience in the defense of clients facing premises liability, personal injury, construction defect, negligent security, product liability and general liability claims, with a focus on regional and national retailers, hotels and resorts, restaurants, owners and developers of shopping centers, and others in the retail and hospitality industries. At trial, she is a zealous advocate on behalf of her clients’ interests. Leena is also highly effective at negotiating with opposing counsel and establishing positive resolutions to minimize client risk.
Before joining private practice, Leena served for more than 16 years as a deputy public defender in the County of San Diego Office of the Primary Public Defender, where she represented a diverse group of clients in both serious misdemeanor and felony matters in both bench and jury trials. In that role, Leena skillfully handled a heavy caseload from intake through trial and resolution.
