Lisa M. Robinson

Lisa M. Robinson is an experienced trial attorney who concentrates her practice on defending cases involving catastrophic personal injury and death. Her experience includes defending complex premises liability, medical device, and Labor Law cases, as well as matters involving general product liability and medical and dental malpractice. She has tried multiple cases in both New York State courts and U.S. District Courts to verdict.

Lisa is a leader in the firm’s Long-Term Care practice. She has extensive experience defending skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities in professional liability claims, wrongful death malpractice claims, claims alleging violations of state and federal regulations, and common law negligence claims. In addition, she regularly represents manufacturers of industrial and consumer products in federal and state courts, and has defended clients in personal injury, property damage, and fire cases involving alleged design defects and warning claims. Lisa has also successfully defended clients in a wide variety of other liability cases, including automobile and trucking accidents and construction defect claims.

Experience Highlights

Lisa focuses a significant portion of her practice on defending dentists and other medical and health care and long-term care professionals regarding claims of negligence, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, regulatory violations, and hospital claims. Representative mattes include:

  • Obtained a defense verdict after a three-week trial in New York State Court for a medical device manufacturer and distributer
  • Obtained a voluntary stipulation of discontinuance via motion for summary judgment in a dental malpractice claim
  • Obtained a voluntary dismissal of an action against a long-term care/skilled nursing facility
