Mackenzie N. Allan
Associate
Experience
Mackenzie N. Allan counsels and defends the interests of clients facing a variety of civil litigation matters. She joined Goldberg Segalla following her tenure as an assistant state attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida, where she litigated numerous trials and motions. Serving in the Special Victim’s Unit, Mackenzie managed cases from start to finish, determining whether to file criminal charges, arguing at motions and hearings, and handling the cases through plea, trial or dismissal.
While in law school, Mackenzie competed in the Global Legal Hackathon. She and the team created IdeaFlight, a program designed to help fill a gap in venture capital investment opportunities, giving underrepresented groups access to the legal and business knowledge needed to pitch an idea to an investor. After the project took the global prize in both the Diversity and Inclusion Challenge and the Access to Justice Challenge, the team developed the concept into an ongoing business, where Mackenzie served as vice president of community connections and development.
