Experience
Martin R. Shaw counsels and defends clients in the retail and hospitality industries in a variety of litigated matters. He draws on a broad range of civil litigation experience including general liability, commercial litigation, professional liability, construction law, and insurance coverage. Martin handles all aspects of litigation, preparing cases for filing, conducting depositions, drafting pleadings, motions and briefs, and participating in trials, arbitrations and mediations.
Before going into private practice, Martin clerked for the Hon. William A. Snoddy at the Prince George’s County Circuit Court in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. While attending the Howard University School of Law, he served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Anita Josey-Herring at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, followed by a seven-month internship with a Washington, D.C., law firm.
