Michael E. Longo defends and provides strategic litigation and transactional counsel to Fortune 500 companies, leading insurers, small businesses, and individuals around the country. With a mastery of complex legal issues, a record of creative problem-solving, and around-the-clock availability, Mike is someone on whom clients come to rely when the stakes are highest; they call on him to parachute into urgent matters, often in the face of looming mediations, trials, and other deadlines.

Mike’s litigation experience is extensive and wide-ranging. He has successfully defended copyright, trademark, municipal, employment, educational, commercial, construction, and bodily injury claims in state and federal courts and on appeal. He defends complex insurance coverage and bad faith claims ranging from automobile accidents to billion-dollar demands on nine-figure coverage towers. Mike also has significant experience in overseeing and coordinating fraud investigations pertaining to automobile accident claims and leading special investigative units (SIU), and he regularly defends no-fault, uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM), and liability claims.

As a transactional attorney, Mike provides strategic advice concerning intellectual property and risk management to both individual and institutional clients in a variety of sectors. He routinely advises on the retention of insurance policies and management of copyright and trademark portfolios, and provides targeted advice on defamation and publicity/privacy concerns.
