Sandra M. Bonnick

Sandra M. Bonnick is an experienced attorney who focuses her practice on general liability matters for local and federal government agencies, hospitals, nonprofits, and private medical practices. With more than 20 years of experience, Sandra has successfully handled all types of civil litigation, including multiple complex cases involving legislative, policy, and economic analysis; health care; medical malpractice; regulatory compliance; and sensitive business relations. Her litigation experience spans negligence, personal injury, construction and labor law, general liability, automobile, premises liability, and municipal law matters—including multiple trials. Sandra has handled every aspect of litigation, including appearing in state and federal courts, briefs, motion practice, and discovery.
Sandra draws on experience as an executive agency counsel for the New York City Transit Authority Department of Law, where she supervised personnel, junior attorneys, and paralegals coordinating over 500 pre-trial investigations in complex litigations annually. Her role involved representing and defending transportation clients such as the New York City Transit Authority, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and the Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority (MABSTOA) in every aspect of litigation from pre-trial to trials and during internal and government compliance investigations.
Prior to entering private practice, Sandra was a senior policy analyst for the Permanent Judicial Commission on Justice for Children in the New York State Unified Court System. In this role, she worked with the 40-member commission appointed by the Chief Justice of the New York Court of Appeals.
