Biging, vice chair of the firm’s Management and Professional Liability practice and a partner in its New York office, discusses the status of trends that continued and emerged last year in the field of insurance agent and broker errors and omissions (E&O) law in an article for ABA’s seasonal newsletter, Committee News: Professional Liability Insurance. In “Insurance Agent and Broker E&O 2018: The Year in Review,” Peter examines the evolution of trends such as the continued erosion of the “duty to read” defense, increasing perceptions of agents and brokers as possessive of specialized experience and expertise necessary to advise and guide their customers with respect to their insurance coverages and overall risk management, and other ever-expanding E&O risk concerns.
