Goldberg Segalla Welcomes Aaron Lawson February 12, 2018

Goldberg Segalla added associate Aaron Lawson to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group in Albany.

Aaron counsels and represents a wide variety of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. His background also includes disability, labor and employment, and product liability.

Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Aaron served in the office of the Senate Finance Chair at the New York State Senate, where he worked on general policy issues affecting New York State, gaining an extensive background in insurance, workers' compensation, and Medicaid.

Aaron graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law where he was a member of the Justinian Honor Society and served as managing editor of the Syracuse Law Review. He simultaneously graduated with an M.P.A. at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, where he studied subjects that enriched his career in law. While at Syracuse, Aaron volunteered with the Community Development Law Clinic, with a focus on small business and not-for-profits, earning the school’s Orange Award for over 100 hours of pro bono service. He also served as a legal intern at the Administrative Law Division of the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he assisted in representing state agencies and officials in civil litigation in state and federal court proceedings. Prior to attending law school, Lawson worked in human resources.
