Goldberg Segalla added associate Jaime L. Piazza to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group in Garden City.

Jaime counsels and defends a wide variety of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout New York. She earned her bachelor’s in English from New York University before going on to Hofstra University School of Law, where she was one of three recipients of the inaugural Fellowship for Advocacy for the Equality of LGBT People. She also served as the secretary of People Representing the Issues of Sexual Minorities (PRISM), and gained significant experience working in the university’s political asylum clinic as well as in the mediation clinic as a trained mediator. Following law school, Jaime served on the board of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Bar Association of Greater NY (LeGaL) — first as a member and later as president.
