Michael S. Katzen Joins Goldberg Segalla February 25, 2013

Goldberg Segalla LLP is pleased to announce Michael S. Katzen has joined the law firm as an associate in its Princeton office. Mr. Katzen is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group.

Mr. Katzen counsels employers from a variety of industries on day-to-day labor and employment law issues, including employee discipline, terminations, discrimination, harassment, leaves of absence, overtime, independent contractor classification, workplace accommodations, trade secrets, social media, and protected union-related activity. He audits employment practices, delivers anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training, and assists employers in investigating allegations of employee misconduct. Mr. Katzen also negotiates settlements of employment law-related matters; defends businesses and organizations in employment lawsuits; and represents employers before federal, state, and local administrative agencies. In addition, he prepares HR policies, employee handbooks, employment contracts, and restrictive covenants, and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Mr. Katzen is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section; the New York State Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section; Middlesex County Bar Association; Somerset County Bar Association; and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

He is a graduate of the University of Delaware (B.A., 2004) and Hofstra University School of Law (J.D., 2007).
