Experience
Fayyaz Ahmed advises and represents clients in a range of civil matters, including commercial litigation, employment discrimination, personal injury cases, and landlord-tenant disputes, defending businesses and individuals in state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. He is experienced in all phases of litigation, from research, pleadings, answers, motions, discovery requests and responses to appearing for oral arguments, depositions, trials, arbitrations and mediations.
Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Fayyaz served as deputy county attorney in the Nassau County Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted juvenile delinquency cases under the New York Criminal Penal Law and Family Court Act, reviewing arrest reports and case files, developing legal strategies, and conducting bench trials.
While attaining his J.D. at the Albany Law School, Fayyaz also worked in a variety of legal intern and law clerk positions, gaining valuable experience with real estate transactions, investment regulations, financial transactions, intellectual property litigation, and other high-stakes litigation matters.
