Experience
Nicholas L. Hansen is a civil litigator who focuses his practice on matters of product liability, economic loss class actions, and other complex litigation. He draws from a broad range of legal experience, including pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, environmental disputes, commercial litigation and antitrust lawsuits. Nicholas manages cases from inception through resolution, developing defense strategies, preparing witnesses, and serving as local counsel in New Jersey state courts. He has been successful in developing Daubert motions to challenge the reliability of expert testimony and scientific evidence.
Prior to law school, Nicholas was an analytical chemist in the field of solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, then worked in environmental science with an emphasis on community outreach and science communication. Clients benefit from his strong scientific foundation, which enables Nicholas to understand product science, communicate effectively with expert witnesses, and scrutinize the scientific bases of plaintiffs’ claims.
