Goldberg Segalla added Hannah Ashbrook to the firm’s Defense Base Act and War Hazards Compensation Act practice group in Manhattan.
Hannah supports government contractors and their insurance carriers in matters arising under the Defense Base Act (DBA) and War Hazards Compensation Act (WHCA). She assists with the evaluation and defense of claims involving civilian employees working overseas and represents clients in proceedings before U.S. Department of Labor administrative bodies. In her work on WHCA matters, Hannah helps prepare and manage reimbursement submissions related to injuries linked to war-risk events. Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Hannah practiced insurance defense litigation, drafting appeal briefs, motions in limine, motions to dismiss, and other dispositive motions.
Hannah earned her B.S. from Tulane University and her J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law.
