Goldberg Segalla added Jack Ghirardi to the firm’s Defense Base Act and War Hazards Compensation Act practice group in Manhattan.

Jack focuses his practice on counseling government contractors and their insurance carriers in matters under the Defense Base Act (DBA) and War Hazards Compensation Act (WHCA). He assists with evaluating and managing claims involving civilians employed overseas and represents clients in proceedings before U.S. Department of Labor adjudicatory offices. As part of his WHCA practice, Jack supports the preparation, organization, and submission of reimbursement requests for injuries tied to war‑risk incidents. He is involved at each stage of the claims process and collaborates with senior members of the team to provide clients with clear, timely, and actionable guidance.

Jack earned his B.S. at Cornell University and his J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law.
